The study assessed how precision technologies—such as sensors, GIS, and drones—relate to agricultural input management in the San Martín region of Peru. Based on surveys of 120 producers, it found that productivity and sustainability positively influence efficient input management, while costs, limited infrastructure, and resistance to change are the main barriers to their adoption

This study evaluates the impact of intercropping maize with native beans on the morphological growth, yield, and nutritional composition of forage intended for silage in the Peruvian Amazon. Treatments between maize monoculture and bean intercropping are compared, as well as different phenological stages (R2, R4, and R5). The results show improvements in protein, fiber, and productive parameters of the forage when intercropped, especially at stage R4 (Alcoser et al., 2025)

This study evaluates the effect of different bio-ferments on the morphology and quality of cacao (Theobroma cacao L.) seedlings under nursery conditions. Treatments were compared based on parameters such as height, stem diameter, number of leaves, and seedling quality. The results show significant improvements in growth when bio-ferments are applied, highlighting their potential as an agroecological input for early stages of cacao development (Chuquizuta et al., 2025).

This study phenotypically characterizes 74 wild accessions of Myrciaria dubia (camu camu) from the INIA ex situ germplasm bank to identify variability relevant for genetic improvement, conservation, and sustainable use programs. Morphological, physical, and fruit quality characteristics were evaluated, revealing a wide diversity that can be used to select genotypes with higher yield and quality Imán (Correa et al., 2025).

This study assessed the use of coffee by-products (mucilage, pulp, and yogurt) as starter cultures in semi-wet fermentation. Significant sugar reduction and enhanced formation of desirable aromatic compounds raised the cup score from 84 (control) to 86.7, qualifying it as specialty coffee (Díaz Medina, J. A. et al., 2024).

The study conducts a comprehensive review of the use of predictive models to strengthen food security in Latin America, with an emphasis on Colombia. It analyzes 65 studies published between 2014 and 2024 that apply algorithms such as Random Forests and Neural Networks to anticipate agricultural yields, manage climate risks, and optimize resources. The results show that agricultural, climatic, and technological variables predominate, while socioeconomic and nutritional dimensions are underrepresented. The article highlights the need to integrate multidimensional data to develop more robust models that strengthen the resilience and sustainability of food systems in the region.
