Description

Costa Rica reached one million animals identified and registered in the National Cattle and Buffalo Traceability System, equivalent to 68.05% of the total. During 2026, nearly 840,000 animals were also moved using digital movement permits and more than 24,000 livestock establishments completed their incorporation into the system.
