Description
The UK's support consists of a financial aid package for the Caribbean countries most affected by Hurricane Beryl. This support includes funding of up to £500,000 to provide immediate relief to the needs of those whose homes and livelihoods have been affected by the hurricane. Additionally, they sent 800 emergency shelter kits, along with 1,620 buckets so that households can collect and store water, from supplies prepositioned in the region. Support has also been provided for the deployment of regional teams to assist national disaster offices with emergency operations, relief and logistics management, telecommunications, security issues and sectoral assessments.
